Katie off to Nottingham you say?
Is this an art course at the main University or at Nottingham Trent? (or neither, or are you not divulging in any case... )
Fingers crossed that tomorrow I'll find out I am on my way to Nottingham... |

gutted as hell. Here in Boston there wasn't much FR gig chances.
Pretty weird as I currently am listening to Life Processes.
I have a bootleg of the Boston gig which I don't think has been available anywhere.
I can be contacted to put this into general circulation if the band want this. |

Damn, that's a bit of a shame. But loads of bands do this between records, FR have just been kind enough to fill us in. And a band doesn't have to be a solid object, held together with money and a record deal, like Take That or something- where it's either in or out, but its just the product of people- so doesn't nessesarily need a definite status. At least thats how I get it. It's much more fun to try different things for a bit anyway. Good luck with everything inbetween!
Just out of intrest Tom, who was the second picture? (after at the drive in) |

It was My Bloody Valentine.

I think some people have overreacted to this a bit.
If that's what they want to do then it's fine.
Just as long as you return better than ever! |

Well, yeah, I certainly did. If that's what you feel you need to do, then by all means go right ahead.
Still a bit miffed though. |

End of part one.......
I know I don't post here much but looking back over the past four years I saw the band 32 times and I can honestly say I enjoyed every last one of them, and only wish there had been more - they were one of those bands I kind of took for granted, only doing a couple of dates per tour because there'd be another one along in a minute. Grrr. Silly me.
Highlights? The first time I saw them after a last minute review call-up for The Bravery at the Roadhouse in late 04 which I wasn't best looking forward to, but decided to go down for the first support because they had a cool sounding name... the Irish mini-tour of March 2006, with a great opening night at Galway's lovely Roisin Dubh venue on a piss-wet night followed by an incendiary performance to a near single figure audience at Limerick Dolans, with Tom catapulting around the venue and even into the toilets with his long trailing mic trying to get people into it. Highbury Garage a couple of months later on the hottest day of a hot summer, the band giving their all despite a measured onstage temperature of over fifty degrees C. The low-key summer 2007 Leeds Cockpit comeback where half the tracks on "Life Processes" were played some for the first time, that deeply strange festival in Milton keynes with its Sambuca only bar, and the Christmas party at the Brudenell that topped off the best gig-going year of my life.
Any AnteAter (or similar) gigs on the horizon at all Tom?
And all the best to Katie with the course (one of the nicest people I've met in my many years hanging around the music scene - in fact you all are) and everyone else in whatever they're doing next.

| So, I'm gonna be at Leeds uni from september 2009 apparently, if all goes well i'll be playing gigs around the place- who knows maybe Tom can produce an EP! Ha ha. Maybe not... anyway it depends how much equipment I can actually bring up and fit in student accommodation! (www.myspace.com/harryburgessmusic if anyone wants to give it a listen) |

Saddoes.
But seriously, nothing was said about a breakup, I know that most bands stay together for money, I'm glad you decided to just do what you want and get around to FR whenever it best suits you. Which, if it keeps the band together for longer and produces better music, then that's perfect. |
